Well-Log Seismic Sequence Stratigraphy is a new technology developed by Drs. Peter R. Vail and Walter W. Wornardt in 1989. It permits a stratigraphic section to be divided into a series of chronostratigraphic third-order depositional sequences that are bounded by sequence boundaries and contain a maximum flooding surface.
